HLRS, alongside its partners in the Gauss Centre for Supercomputing (GCS), is pleased to be participating in ISC High Performance 2023, Europe's largest convention for the high-performance computing (HPC) community. Members of HLRS will be onsite to discuss many of the center's current activities and projects.

HLRS will once again appear together with our partners in the Gauss Centre for Supercomputing — the Jülich Supercomputing Centre and Leibniz Supercomputing Centre — in a shared GCS booth. Stop by to learn about our recent activities, and pick up a copy of the HLRS Annual Report or InSiDE Magazine.
Members of the HLRS Visualization Department will also be on hand to present recent work involving a float plane propeller.

As coordinating center of the EuroCC and FF4EuroHPC projects, EXCELLERAT P2, and a project partner of CEEC, HiDALGO2, ChEESE, and Inno4scale, HLRS will also be present at a booth focusing on efforts to build and network HPC expertise across Europe, including within industry. These projects can be found in a booth organized by and shared with the EuroHPC Joint Undertaking.

In the first ever project to connect computers in wind parks with an HPC center, WindHPC aims to reduce energy consumption by improving efficiency in simulation codes, HPC workflows, and data management. Dr. Christoph Niethammer will present the project at the Project Poster Reception.

This workshop will outline the current state of Linux-Containers in HPC/AI, what challenges are hindering the adoption in HPC/BigData and how containers can foster improvements when applied to the field of HPC, BigData and AI in the mid and long-term. Kamil Tokmakov will represent HLRS in this workshop.
