Research Scientist
Christian Siebert studied computer science, where he already specialized in the topic of high-performance computing. Subsequently, he worked for NECs Research Lab in the HPC team and developed their proprietary MPI implementation. He was also actively involved in the MPI standardization effort, e.g., by enabling the MPI nonblocking collective operations.
At the RWTH Aachen, he gave lectures about parallel programming and focused on the development of new scalable algorithms, such as sorting and merging. He gave HPC user support at the HHU Düsseldorf, and also lead the statewide effort in this field.
At HLRS Siebert is preparing applications for the Exascale era.
