Dr. Karin Blessing strengthens the sustainability team at HLRS. She works in the cross-sectional area of sustainability and communication and is responsible for making sustainability aspects visible in projects, the development of new target groups and the implementation of sustainability competence at HLRS in these social areas.

Dr. Blessing's expertise includes above all her long-standing commitment to environmental and sustainability education, to identify the possible addressees and their topics of sustainable development to anchor broadly in society.

She studied biology and geography and received her doctorate on an environmental education topic. Her work involves promoting understanding of scientific topics in such a way that a successful stakeholder dialogue arises. The aim is to motivate people to participate in the dialogue surrounding sustainability and to acquire their own competence for sustainable development.
