Project and User Management, Accounting

This department is responsible for user management and accounting, including creating and maintaining web interfaces necessary for (federal) project management and data availability for users. The department also conducts activities related to the European supercomputing infrastructure (PRACE) and data management. This involves operating and continually developing high-performance storage systems as well as conceiving new strategies for data management for users and projects working in the field of data analytics.

TOPIO

Focusing on a large-scale, high-resolution earth system model, TOPIO is investigating read and write rates for large amounts of data on high-performance file systems, as well as approaches that use compression to reduce the amount of data without causing a significant loss of information.
