Research Scientist
Somashekhar Kulkarni contributes to the InHPC-DE project, aiming to leverage cloud computing concepts for operating HPC systems. The overall goal is to enable higher accessibility and scalability of compute resources with a specific focus on AI and scientific computing workloads. His work lies at the intersection of Cloud Engineering, AI workflows and MLOps.
Somashekhar holds a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from BITS Pilani, India and a master’s degree in computational modeling and simulation (CMS) from TU Dresden. In addition to work-related topics, he is interested in AI theory & applications, heterogeneous parallel computing, and code performance optimization.
