On June 20, 2023, HLRS will host an Urban Development Hackathon, a side event of Urban Future, Europe's leading event to make cities sustainable. The main event will run from June 21-23, 2023 in Stuttgart.

Making change in Stuttgart a tangible experience - a maximum of 30 participants will have this opportunity at the Urban Development Hackathon, taking place all day on June 20 at HLRS.

Together with the city of Stuttgart, the Rosensteinbrücke, a bridge crossing the river Neckar has been selected to be redesigned into a place of sustainable transport and local recreation. You can choose either to  propose a complete redesign as the bridge will be demolished in the next years or suggest temporary interventions, which can be applied in the meantime for the European Mobility Week.

For those who cannot participate in the Hackathon: Check out the potential of virtual reality in urban planning when the results are presented on June 23.
